Emily grew up as an Air Force Brat all over America and Germany. She graduated from FSU in 1999 with a degree in Music Therapy, and then served as the Director of Children's Ministries for 3 1/2 years at FUMC. After leaving FUMC to pursue a dream of hiking all 2,172 miles of the Appalachian Trail in 2003 - which took 6 months to complete, she worked with a Christian Music Resource company in Nashville, TN. But the reality is that she missed all of the AMAZING youth that she used to work with. ¶ Emily returned in January 2005 to serve as the Director of Youth Ministries. She loves to hike (obviously), run 1/2 marathons, drink cherry limeades from Sonic (it's the ice—it is), crochet, read, laugh a lot, and most of all walk alongside our youth as they figure out who they are in Christ.
